Stephanie, the world lost a good one.

I received terrible news the other day. Someone I had met online over a year ago when this whole pandemic started is in a coma and will not recover. I am deeply saddened by this news; our interactions were mostly online via Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram messenger video chats, remote photo shoots, etc., but this does not detract from the fact that I will miss interacting with her.

I was planning a visit to Cyprus to visit her. I was truly excited about visiting as I had never been and also to see my friend.

I recall one conversation whilst looking for a place to stay in Cyprus. She said, well, the conversation went:

Steph: "Limassol is a bit pants... come over my way... around Paphos!"

Me: a bit pants?! Okay, that's a colloquialism that I'm not sure about.

Steph: 'Pahaha... saying something is pants is a British way of saying it's a bit rubbish.'

It's interesting what one holds on to, but if it helps, yes, I am being a bit maudlin. Nonetheless, she is a light to the world, and losing her would definitely be a tragedy.

Enjoy a few photos Stephanie and I created. (NSFW)
