Island girl, Veronica, model spotlight series
I know I've said this repeatedly, but sometimes I think, "Man, I should've worked with her more." I have plenty of those moments, and as often as I 'regret' not working with someone more often, etc., I still fail to do so.
The problem is that I reach a point during a shoot where I think I've gotten what I need and then move on; that makes me an efficient photographer. Of course, after the shoot, going through the images, I know I have created enough.
Several years later, the realization hits: "I think I should've done more or reached out just one last time to do another shoot."
Veronica is just that one model; her charm and willingness to create are astounding. She makes jewelry now, and it's definitely a creative process, so we share that common bond: a love of art and a desire to create for her; it's her jewelry for me, my photography.
Her look is also a plus. We have always been able to create a different look for her when doing photo shoots. She has a very girl-next-door, down-to-earth look that works to her advantage.
Obviously, we all get older, and most people also mature. The fascinating part is that not only do they mature, but a 'maturing' happens with people's faces as time passes. It was a good look for her.
That being said, I think I'll think long and hard about whether I truly did get enough images when I work with another muse I find!
