Alana, working with models after establishing a good rapport + Fujifilm X-T5.

As a photographer, I have always stressed the necessity of building rapport and a relationship with your subject. Working with models with whom I have established a good connection is always a pleasure. When I last visited Sacramento, I had the pleasure of working with Alana, a model based in Sacramento. We have become great work friends because we work well together.

We decided to do a boudoir fashion editorial-type photoshoot. After several back-and-forth messages and ideas, we devised a plan, and the photos we created were excellent.

Alana and I, having worked together in the past, have built a strong working relationship. This familiarity was a key factor in our success, as it allowed us to communicate seamlessly during the shoot, making the entire process a breeze. Our shared vision and pre-planned ideas were instrumental in this, ensuring we were always on the same page.

During the photoshoot, I could capture Alana's natural beauty effortlessly. Her "non-poses" and her confidence in front of the camera were perfect. By "non-poses," I mean the ability to look as if the photos are candid and the know-how to convey an idea or a feeling to relay that in the pictures to the viewer. I loved how she embodied the concept we had in mind and quickly brought it to life. The photos turned out great, and I couldn't be more pleased with the result.

It's always a joy to work with models like Alana, who are professional, easy to work with, and have a positive attitude. These attributes make the entire process enjoyable, and the results speak for themselves. I can't wait to work with Alana again and capture more amazing shots.

Finally, working with a model you have an established good rapport with can be a game-changer when creating amazing photos. The level of comfort and trust between the photographer and the model makes the entire process seamless, resulting in stunning shots that capture the model's essence and bring the photographer's mind's eye to life.
